The district will host a Meet and Greet opportunity for parents and staff to meet Trsar in August.

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A Board of Education has named a new assistant principal for Oakwood School. Joseph Trsar, currently assistant principal of Wenger School in West Chicago, will assume the Oakwood assistant principal position on July 1.

According to the district, Trsar holds a Master of Arts degree in both Education from North Park University and Educational Administration from Aurora University. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business and German. Trsar has experience as a teacher of languages, both English and Mandarin, to early childhood students while teaching in Taiwan and in Illinois, as well as experience with developing programming for English language learners.

"I am so thrilled to join Oakwood and look forward to forming relationships with the entire learning community in order to help all kids build the foundational skills to be lifelong learners, gain the confidence to make and learn from mistakes, explore their curiosities, and form a 'growth-mindset' to develop perseverance when faced with challenges," Trsar said in a release.
