LEMONT, IL — A new boutique salon, focusing on one-on-one attention for clients, has opened its doors in Lemont.

Owner Kristin Rocha said the salon specializes in modern hair services, including lived-in color, dimensional blonding, balayage, custom haircuts, special occasion styling, and bridal hair.

Rocha has over 24 years in the industry and said her focus "has always been creating personalized looks that fit each guest’s lifestyle while maintaining the health and integrity of their hair."

The Edit by KR is now open at 1388 State St., in Lemont. The salon is located in the same building as Look Nu Car Wash, and hours are by appointment only.

"was drawn to the strong sense of community, the support for local businesses, and the charm of the downtown area," she told Patch. "As someone who has built relationships with clients throughout the southwest suburbs for many years, Lemont offered an opportunity to create a beautiful space where both clients and independent stylists could feel at home."
