LEMONT, IL — A new police officer was sworn in at Lemont's Village Board meeting on Monday. Nicholas Janoski took his oath of office as a police officer for Lemont Police Department.
"We have the best police department in the area," Mayor John Egofske said. "We have, historically, always have some of the safest statistics in Chicagoland. We're very proud of that."
