Oakwood Hosts STEM Parent Education Night

LEMONT, IL — Oakwood's Early Childhood Team held its second Parent Education Night for the school's youngest learners on April 17. The school said the event gave families the opportunity to engage in simple science activities.

The goal for the night was to provide for active exploration, investigation, and interaction between children, parents and educators, the school said. Activities ranged from creation of a marble pinball to exploration with magnets to making a simple chemical reaction with food coloring, vinegar and baking soda.

The final Early Childhood Family Night is the annual Family Picnic which which will be held in May at Centennial Park.
