Oakwood, River Valley Fun Fair a Hit with District 113A Families

The March 20 event was packed with fun for families.

It has been said that it takes a village to raise a child, but on Friday, March 20, it was obvious that communities came together to support our schools through the annual PTO Fun Fair.

It started with the careful and what seemed to be constant planning of the committee co-chairs, Kyle Cuiching and Wendy Johnson and Robyn Horn. From there, volunteers were sought to assist with 24 games and activities, food stations, 10 silent auction baskets, and 35 raffle baskets.

The night was not short on fun with family, friends, and staff. The choices were many and included games and activities such as the sponge toss, pick a pocket for a prize, goldfish toss, face painting, bingo, a photo booth, teacher trivia, and even an old-fashioned shell game. There truly was something for everyone! Once again we are reminded and appreciative that our communities support our schools and encourage family time.
