Oakwood School Participates In Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is an opportunity for the community to spread the message about the dangers of drug use.
LEMONT, IL — Oakwood School has been participating in Red Ribbon Week, which started on Wednesday, Oct. 25 and ends on Tuesday, Oct. 31. The school said students and staff have been celebrating with theme days, “No Sweat No Drugs,” “Team up Against Drugs,” and “Red Day.”
According to the school, the red ribbon became the symbol of zero tolerance for illegal drugs and a commitment to a drug free lifestyle. Red Ribbon Week is an opportunity for the community to spread the message about the dangers of drug use.
