Obituary: Edward Werderits Jr.

Edward Frank Werderits Jr., 76, of Lemont, passed away Aug. 29, 2018. U.S. Air Force Veteran. Foundational and loyal member of the Central Bark Pack of Lemont.

Werderits was life long engineer and a jack of all trades with a wealth of knowledge and always researching. Starting in his early years in the Air Force, to his passion for building motorcycles (Chopper Palace), automotive (Auto Research Laboratories), owning a successful small business (EFCO Mechanical) and working many jobs at once to support his family. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed.

Loving father of Kirsten (John) Scanlan, Karie (Keith) Weinstein, Kim (Jim) Martin, Krissy Werderits, and Koryn Werderits; cherished grandfather of Kendall, Kelsey, Skylar, Dylan, Autumn, and Jack; dear brother of Laurae (late Kurt) Gareiss; and fond uncle to Kim Gareiss and Kurt Gareiss.

Visitation was Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, from 4 – 8 p.m. at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. 108 Illinois St. Lemont. In lieu of flowers, donate to one of these organizations of your choice to honor Ed's two best friends (Lady and Liv), who rescued him and kept him going all of these years.
