Obituary: Jon Norskog

Jon C. Norskog, 73, of Hot Spring Village, Arkansas, passed away peacefully Dec. 6, 2018. He was born Oct. 9, 1945 in Worthington, Minnesota. Norskog was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ellen and Jon, brothers Kevin and David, and son Matthew J. Norskog.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years Robin (Chapman), daughter Julie (Bob) Deacetis, grandchildren Gabrielle and Logan, brother Joe (Trish), sisters and brothers-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Norskog was a mentor and life coach to many throughout his years, including 34 years of teaching in Lemont. He served his country as a US Marine. He always had a joke and a passion for sports and music.

Norskog was loved immensely by family and friends and will be missed forever. In lieu of flowers, make a donation to your favorite charity or to merigenesis.org where Norskog continues his love of education through whole body donation for research and medical education.

Per Norskog's request, there will be no services at this time.
