Obituary: Leonard Frank Materna

Leonard Frank Materna, born in September 1936, died in his home on Oct. 4, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, his children; Jordan, Elizabeth, Grant, Colleen and Kevin; his grandchildren Mitchell, Elena, Abby, Mason, Morgan and Jake and by his brother William and his sister Judy Bowe.

Materna’s career included Media Director at TLK advertising and Sales Manager for AMG Media in Chicago. He was an avid golfer, sportsman and spent many summers at Lakeside, Michigan. After retiring he volunteered for numerous organizations including the Lemont Lions Club, Hospice Healthcare, Lemont Pace, Oak Brook Golf Club and the DuPage Forest Preserve.
