Old Quarry Cheerleading Heads To State Championships

LEMONT, IL — Lemont's Old Quarry Middle School cheerleading squad will head to Peoria for the IESA cheerleading state championships once again this year.

Old Quarry will compete in the medium team routine at state.

The cheerleading program at Old Quarry is a decorated one; the team won the state championship in the medium team routine in 2018, 2019 and 2020, and took runner-up in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2022. No competition was held in 2021.

The state championships will be held Feb. 15 at the Peoria Civic Center.
