Old Quarry Eighth Grade Boys Basketball Heads To State Tournament

LEMONT, IL — Lemont's Old Quarry Middle School eighth grade boys basketball team will play in the first round of the IESA Class 4A state tournament in Taylorville.
Old Quarry will face Springfield's Grant at 1 p.m. on Saturday, according to IESA. OQMS is 23-0, and Springfield is 24-1 for the season.
The winner of the game will face the winner of Rochester and Phoenix's Coolidge later in the day on Saturday in the semifinals, according to IESA.

The third-place game and the state championship will be played on Feb. 16 at Taylorville High School.
