
LEMONT, IL — Musicals returned to Old Quarry Middle School with its recent performance of "Annie." There were two casts for the musical, and each cast performed two shows from Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.
"We are extremely excited to offer musical theater opportunities for our students," Principal Johnny Billingsley said in a release. "Students thrive when they can take risks and pursue their passions."
The play was directed by Mr. Brandhandler and Mrs. Treanor, and the role of Annie was played by eighth grader Alexa Potaczek and sixth grader Kylie Melonie. The roles of Miss Hannigan were played by eighth grader Jo Jo Osafah and seventh grader Alexandra Andruszkiewicz. The role of Oliver Warbucks was played by Landon Floranic for both casts.
