Old Quarry Softball Finishes Third At State Tournament

In the third-place game, Lemont played Bloomington's Evans, and defeated the team 6-0.

LEMONT, IL — The Old Quarry Middle School girls softball team finished in third place at the IESA Class 3A state tournament.

The team advanced to the state tournament after capturing the sectional championship crown last week, by defeating Woodridge's Jefferson.

Old Quarry then faced Chatham Glenwood in the first round of the tournament, and defeated the team 3-0, according to IESA.

The team moved on to play Frankfort's Hickory Creek in the semifinals, and lost 11-2. The Frankfort team went on to win the state championship.

In the third-place game, Lemont played Bloomington's Evans, and defeated the team 6-0. Old Quarry ended the season with a 13-3-0 record.
