Old Quarry Students Celebrate March Teacher Of The Month

Eighth grade teacher William Murphy was chosen as the March Teacher of the Month by students.

LEMONT, IL — A committee of students at Old Quarry Middle School has planned a teacher of the month project, and the first teacher was recently celebrated. Eighth grade teacher William Murphy was chosen as the March Teacher of the Month by students.

The committee of students said, "[Murphy] is kind, supportive, and energetic. He always supports his students in and out of school and always encourages his students to keep up with current events to benefit our lives. He makes his lessons memorable and interesting so that students enjoy his class and look forward to coming to school each day. He notices everything -- whether a student is having a bad day or a particularly good one."

One anonymous student said, “He will also go all the way to the moon and back to help us, he is the type of teacher that you wish you had for your whole school year and is probably the best teacher I have had yet.”
