One Seriously Injured In Lemont Home Invasion: Cops
The offender was described as a white man, in his late 40s or early 50s, wearing a blue jacket with a hood.
LEMONT, IL — A resident was seriously injured in a home invasion in Lemont Thursday night, police said. Police received a report of a home invasion and aggravated battery in the 100 block of Doolin Street at 11:20 p.m. Thursday.
Police said officers arrived within one minute and learned the offender had left the scene. He was described as a white man, in his late 40s or early 50s, wearing a blue jacket with a hood.
A resident in the home was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

Lemont detectives continue to investigate, and police said they do not believe the incident was random.
Investigators are asking anyone who may have seen anyone or any vehicles out of the ordinary in the Timberline subdivision between 9 p.m. and midnight Thursday to contact the Lemont Police investigative unit at 630-257-2229, ext. 2403.
