Open House Held By Lemont Fire Department

Come and meet your Lemont firefighters at the annual open house on Sept. 30.

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Fire Protection District will hold its annual open house on Sunday, Sept. 30. The open house will feature fun for the whole family as the department kicks off National Fire Prevention Month.

There will be a tour of the fire station and truck, a helicopter, a vehicle extrication, a side-by-side live burn, dive team demos, and a ladder truck that will drop candy. Firefighters and paramedics will demonstrate their life-saving skills throughout the day, and there will also be a balloon artist and face painter for children.

The event will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the fire station at 15900 New Ave. Several community groups are helping with the event including Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Nicor Gas, Lifestar Helicopter, Lemont Police Department, Lemont Park District, Lemont Library and more.
