Over 1,000 Vote In Two Days Of Early Voting In Lemont

The early voting site at Lemont Township opened Oct. 19 for early voting.

LEMONT, IL — Over 1,000 people have already early-voted at Lemont Township. The early voting site opened on Monday, and the Cook County Clerk's Office reported that 488 people came to vote.

Numbers increased on Tuesday, when 558 people came to vote at the site. So far on Wednesday (as of 3:30 p.m.), 344 people have voted.

Township Facilities Director Kathy Henrikson told Patch the average wait time is around 45 minutes. Health guidelines restrict the number of people allowed inside the built, so some of the wait is outside.
