Park District Plans OSLAD Grant Informational Meeting

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Park District will hold an informational meeting on Aug. 31 to discuss two Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development grant opportunities.
According to the park district, the two grant opportunities would concern the Miracle Field renovation and new park property acquisition.
The discussion for Miracle Field will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by discussion for new park property at 6:45 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Centennial Community Center, 16028 W 127th St.

According to the park district, Miracle Field was developed in 2007, and is slated to be renovated in 2023.
As for new park property, the park district said that in response to the growing community, additional park and programming space is needed. The district continues to research land opportunities that would fit these needs.

According to the park district, the purpose of the meeting is to provide a summary about the OSLAD grant program and how it can assist the park district in funding.
