Petition Started After LHS Fires Security Guard
Over 1,000 people have signed a petition to protest the firing of a LHS security guard.

LEMONT, IL — Over 1,000 people have signed a petition to protest the firing of a LHS security guard. Sharon Karpiak, who has worked at the school for 12 years, was fired at the Nov. 19 Board of Education Meeting.
According to the Change.org petition, supporters say "removing her from the position would not be in the student's best interest."
"Sharon is a key part of Lemont High School's staff that has kept us safe. She genuinely cares about every student and their well being while still remaining proffesional which is a vital part of LHS' staff," the petition states.
