PHOTOS: Lemont Lacrosse Team Plays First Ever Home Game

Despite a strong performance Friday night, the team lost 10-9 to Sandburg.

The Lemont Indians Lacrosse program reached another milestone Friday night as they played their first ever home game at the Lemont High School football stadium.

Despite a strong showing from many of the team's players, they eventually fell to Sandburg Chiefs by a score of 10-9.

Lemont senior middie Clayton Fejedelem had a career night, scoring seven goals. Junior Mark Marek made 14 saves for the Indians.

In the earlier JV game, Lemont came out on top with a 7-1 victory over the Chiefs.

Sophomore Ethan Parafink scored twice for the Indians, while sophomore Brian Shamasko contributed a goal and two assists.

The varsity squad's next game is April 8 against Homewood-Flossmoor. The game will begin at 7 p.m. at , 800 Porter St.
