Priscilla Ludwig Obituary

Priscilla Ann Ludwig (nee Caddell) of Lemont, Illinois passed away on January 30, 2023, at the age of 89. Priscilla was born in Idaho on February 19, 1933, and lived in several different states as she was growing up--Washington, Indiana, and Nebraska--before settling back in Washington state. She attended Wenatchee High School and the University of Washington. Her first job was in Darrington, Washington, where she met and married a Methodist minister named Tom Ludwig. They moved to Lemont with their young son, Jim, in 1965. As a long-time Lemont resident, Priscilla enjoyed the activities offered by the village, Historical Society, and her church. A retired kindergarten teacher from District 113a, Priscilla was also a faithful member of the Lemont United Methodist Church, member of the Red Hat Society, Canal Gals, and Prime-timers. Priscilla devoted her life to her family. She loved traveling by train with her family, doing activities with friends, and watching the birds in her many birdhouses. She will be remembered for her smile, calm demeanor, positive attitude, and resilience. Priscilla was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas, and her son, James. A memorial mass in her honor will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, 11:00am, at the Lemont United Methodist Church on 25 W. Custer St, Lemont, IL.
