Property Tax Appeals for Lemont Township Closing Soon

The Property Tax Appeal window at the Cook County Assessor’s Office for Lemont Township will be open until September 2, 2025. Although Lemont Township is not scheduled to be reassessed in 2025, property owners still have an opportunity to file an appeal until that date.

Please note- your opportunity to file an appeal through the Lemont Township Assessor’s Office ends at 4:00pm on Thursday, August 28 so staff has time to process all appeals received. After 4:00pm on Thursday, August 28 you may file an appeal directly through the Cook County Assessor’s Office.

Property owners have several options available to file an appeal:

• Online through the Lemont Township Assessor’s Office: Visit www.lemonttownship.org/departments/assessors-office/ to complete the online form. We will submit the appeal and comparables on your behalf.
• Online through the Cook County Assessor’s Office: Visit www.cookcountyassessor.com/online-appeals to file an appeal online directly with the Cook County Assessor’s Office. This is a great option if you need to submit additional documentation with your request.
• Paper Form: Visit the Lemont Township Assessor’s Office at 16300 Alba St. to complete a form to file your appeal. You may also visit www.lemonttownship.org/departments/assessors-office/ to download a paper form to complete and bring or email to our office.
• By Appointment: Visit www.lemonttownship.org/departments/assessors-office/ to make an appointment with the Lemont Township Assessor’s Office for assistance filing your appeal. Alternatively, you can call our office at 630-257-2522 to make an appointment.
