Stormy Week, Hot Temps Will Continue: Illinois Weather

Temps will remain in the 80s until Friday, and storms are possible throughout the week.

After several days of dry weather, the rain could return this week. According to the National Weather Service, there is a chance of storms starting Tuesday after 1 p.m. Monday should be mild and sunny with a high of 89.

Tuesday will also have a high of 89, and the chance of rain and storms will continue into Wednesday. The NWS said there is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms on Wednesday and a high of 84 degrees. The heat will continue on Thursday, which has a high of 89 degrees. Thursday and Thursday night will also feature a chance of rain and storms, but Friday should be partly sunny.

Friday will also bring some cooler weather, and the high will be 73 degrees.
