Rainy Week, Cool Fall Temps Ahead: Illinois Weather

Rainy weather will return for the start of the work week, and the fall-like temps are also around to stay this week. According to the National Weather Service, Monday has a high of 73 and a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 1 p.m. The rain could also continue into Monday night.

Tuesday will also see some rain and possibly some storms after 1 p.m. Tuesday will be the warmest day of the week with a high of 78 degrees, according to the NWS. A chance of rain and storms is also possible on Tuesday night.

Things will dry out on Wednesday and Thursday during the day. Wednesday and Thursday will both be sunny and Wednesday has a high of 65, while Thursday's high is 68 degrees, the NWS said. The chance of rain returns once more on Thursday night, and there is a chance of showers before 1 a.m.

Friday will be mostly sunny during the day with a high near 66. Once again, the rain could return on Friday night.
