Rain will be the norm this weekend, as showers are in the forecast both Saturday and Sunday.
ILLINOIS — Rainy weather will be the norm this weekend, as a strong storm system moves over the Great Lakes. According to the National Weather Service, the high for Saturday will be 61 degrees, and there is a chance of rain starting in Saturday afternoon.
Rain will continue Saturday night and into Sunday, which has a high of 60 degrees. The weather service said showers are likely Sunday and there could possibly be some thunderstorms Sunday night as well.
Rain could change over to or mix with snow Sunday night as temperatures drop into the 30s. Minor accumulations are possible in north central Illinois, the weather service said.
