Reckless Driving, DUI: Lemont Arrests

The following information is from the Lemont Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Domestic Battery

• At 9:10 p.m. Jan. 6, Gloria Florence, 37, of the 200 block of Stephen Street, was arrested following an incident in the 200 block of Stephen for domestic battery. Florence appeared at the Bridgeview Court House for a Bond Hearing.

Driver's License Never Issued

• At 1:34 p.m. Jan. 6, Aliaksandr Lazouski, 30, of Wheeling, was arrested following an accident at St. Vincents Drive and Notre Dame Drive for driver's license never issued, operation of uninsured motor vehicle and disregarding a stop sign. Lazouski was issued a Feb. 13 court date at the Bridgeview Court House.

Driving While License Suspended

• At 7:52 p.m. Jan. 7, Gwendolyn Smith, 47, of Blue Island, was arrested following a traffic stop in the 700 block of Main Street for driving while license suspended, no valid driver's license and speeding 15-20 mph over the limit. Smith was issued a Feb. 13 court date at the Bridgeview Court House.
• At 7:41 p.m. Jan. 11, Alexander Freuh, 24, of the 300 block of Canal Street, was arrested following a traffic stop in the 1100 block of State Street for driving while license suspended/revoked and driver's license never issued. Frueh was issued a Feb. 15 court date at the Bridgeview Court House.

DUI

• At 1:10 a.m. Jan. 7, Tony Smith Jr., 40, of Plainfield, was arrested following an accident at Main and Stephen streets for DUI-alcohol, improper turn and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Smith was issued a Feb. 15 court date at the Bridgeview Court House.

No Valid Driver's License

• At 7:34 a.m. Jan. 9, Kazarai Chadwick, 27, of Gary, Indiana, was arrested following a traffic stop at Covington Drive and Camelot Lane for no valid driver's license, resisting/obstructing a peace officer, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and following too closely. Chadwick was issued a Feb. 13 court date at the Bridgeview Court House.

Reckless Driving

• At 2:20 p.m. Jan. 12, Dennis Shifflet, 50, of the 400 block of Ashbury Lane, was arrested following an accident in the 14700 block of National Park Drive for reckless driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, operation of uninsured motor vehicle and unlawful dumping on public property. Shifflet was issued a Feb. 13 court date at the Bridgeview Court House.
