Registration Open For Spring SAT Prep Classes At LHS

LEMONT, IL — Beginning in January, Lemont High School will offer SAT 1600, an eight-week test preparation program designed to familiarize students with the SAT. The school said registration has already begun for SAT 1600, which is open to all Lemont High School juniors, as well as juniors from other area schools.

Students may choose between two eight-week programs, each of which consists of two hour weekly sessions that run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Lemont High School. The school said the first session begins on Tuesday, Jan. 22, and will meet each Tuesday through March 12. The second session will meet on Wednesdays from Jan. 23 through March 13. Students in both sessions will take a Practice SAT during the week of March 4.

The course costs $310 for the eight sessions, which includes the textbook and Practice SAT. The deadline to register for one of the school’s two SAT 1600 programs is Friday, Dec. 21, or when all sections are filled, according to the school.

Lemont High School’s Class of 2020 will take the SAT on Tuesday, April 9.
