Rep. Lipinski Recognizes Service Academy Nominees
Evan Goodman from Lemont High School is a nominee for West Point Military Academy.

LEMONT, IL — Rep. Dan Lipinski recognized 15 students, including one from Lemont High School, that he will nominate for admission to the United States Service Academies in 2020. The nominees were recognized at a ceremony that took place Sunday at the Johnson-Phelps VFW Post #5220 in Oak Lawn, according to a release.
“One of my congressional duties that I value most is helping young men and women pursue their goal to serve our nation by attending one of our military service academies,” Lipinski said in a release. “It is an honor and privilege to be able to nominate these young leaders from the Third District who have demonstrated hard work, leadership and a commitment to serve others. I commend these outstanding young men and women and wish them the best in this very competitive process.”
