Rep. Lipinski Throws First Pitch For Lemont Baseball Opening Day

LEMONT, IL – Congressman Dan Lipinski threw the ceremonial first pitch on April 13 for the Lemont Baseball and Softball Club’s Opening Day festivities at Santos Field.

“There’s nothing like the first day of the baseball season,” Congressman Lipinski said in his remarks before the first pitch. “I played Little League baseball for eight years and I want to thank all the coaches, all the parents, everyone who is involved in putting the field together. For all the players out there, have a great season!”

According to a release, Lipinski played Little League baseball himself and was happy to be there to help kick off the season with the club and the community.

Lemont Baseball and Softball Club offer teams for a variety of ages.
