'Resurrection On Rosehill' Halloween Display Returns
The display is up and running for Halloween.
LEMONT, IL — One Lemont family celebrates Halloween every year with a huge, detailed display called "Resurrection On Rosehill" in their front yard. The Pakula family, who live on Rosehill Drive in Lemont, have created a spooky, haunted display in their yard, and are also participating in the Lemonster Days Decorating Contest this year.
Ralph Pakula's display first started in 1998 with one piece and has grown every year since. Decorations include coffins, creepy babies, and many haunted figures posed around the yard.
"As a child, my dad and I did it for over 20 years," Pakula, who also serves as Lemont's Public Works director, said. Now, he continues the tradition with his son, and he said they usually make something new every year.

"It's mostly a family tradition gone wild," Pakula said.
The family put the display up on Oct. 29, and it will be up for trick or treaters on Tuesday evening.
