Ruse Burglary Attempt Reported In Lemont: Cops

LEMONT, IL — An attempted ruse burglary was reported in Lemont Tuesday, police said. The incident happened on the west side of Lemont and involved two men posing as workers from the water department.

Police reminded residents that the water department is not conducting any testing inside homes. The two offenders left in a blue crossover-type vehicle with temporary registration, police said.
