Save the Date: Oakwood-River Valley Cultural Fair Set for Jan. 29

District 113-A families and their friends are invited to a multi-cultural experience, with Oakwood-River Valley PTO’s Cultural Fair.

The event will be held January 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Oakwood’s multi-purpose room. The evening highlights various cultures found in the Lemont community, including Guatemala, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Poland and Russia. Learn about their history and language, sample foods, watch dancing, and more. River Valley teacher Sonya Raymond will also showcase foods from the South.

Staff will sell “passports” for $1 each so as the children visit the various countries, they can have their passports stamped.
