Second Annual LHG Test Kitchen Week Planned By Business Alliance

The weeklong event, held Jan. 20-26, will feature special dishes, drinks and desserts from local restaurants.

LEMONT, IL — For the second year, the Heritage Corridor Business Alliance will hold the LHG Test Kitchen Week. The alliance represents both Homer Glen and Lemont.

The weeklong event, held Jan. 20-26, will feature special dishes, drinks and desserts from local restaurants.

According to the alliance, the restaurants will come up with unique food for diners to try. You can then visit the event website to rate your dish.

So far, The Phoenix Kitchen and Cocktails in Homer Glen will participate, as will Wooden Paddle in Lemont. More restaurants will be announced.

Last year's winner included: Wooden Paddle with the best entrée (Banh Mi Pizza), The Phoenix Kitchen and Cocktails with the best drink (campfire old-fashioned) and Barrel & Vine with the best overall menu.
