Second Installment Property Tax Bills - Missing Exemptions

The Lemont Township Assessor's Office encourages all residents to carefully review their Second Installment Property Tax Bills to ensure they have received all eligible exemptions. We recently received communication from many residents about exemption issues and their property tax bills.

We are actively working with the Cook County Assessor's Office to identify the source of the issue and determine the appropriate next steps for affected homeowners. As of now, residents are expected to make their second installment tax payments to the Cook County Treasurer's Office by the October 1st deadline. If we receive additional guidance, we will advise.

If you believe your exemptions were dropped or not applied, please send an email to Deputy Assessor Diana Groselak at diana@lemonttownship.org by Tuesday, September 15, 2026, with the following information:

1. Name
2. Address
3. Property Identification Number (PIN) (If available.)
4. Telephone Number
5. Email address
6. Exemptions You Believe Were Dropped OR Not Applied
   

We will then review the information, compile a list, and communicate with the Cook County Assessor's Office to address these concerns.
