Senior Represents Lemont HS at 2016 Theatre Festival 'All-State' Show
Kevin Troy was the first Lemont student since 2012 to have a hand in the All-State Production.

For the first time in four years, Lemont High School had a representative taking part in the main event at the country’s largest statewide theatre festival. Senior Kevin Troy was a member of the technical crew for the 2016 Illinois High School Theatre Festival All-State Production, Rent. The Illinois High School Theatre Festival took place the week of January 4 on the campus of Illinois State University.
A veteran of Lemont’s Theatre Technology program, Troy contributed to the lighting for Rent, which included more than 30 cast members and more than 30 crew members. To be selected to work on the production, Troy had an interview with the producers and director in which he shared a portfolio of his work on the crew for Lemont High School Performing Arts Center events. Rent was directed by Reavis High School’s Dennis Anastasopoulos, and produced by Reavis’s Christine Haines and Theresa Shepherd.
Troy is the first Lemont student since 2012 to have a hand in the All-State Production. That year, Kevin Driscoll
‘12 played the role of ‘East’ in Almost, Maine. Prior to that, Aubree Tally ‘13 was cast as the ‘The Giant’s Wife’ and Kevin Goffard ‘11 worked on the technical crew for Into the Woods in 2011; and Emily Lyons ‘10 played the role of ‘Pennywise’ in Urinetown in 2010.
