Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Will, Cook Counties

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for northwestern Will County, southeastern DuPage County and south central Cook County until 2:30 p.m.. According to the National Weather Service, a line of storms were located along a line from near Woodridge to Shorewood, moving east at 20 mph.

The NWS said there is 60 mph wind gusts associated with this storm.

Locations impacted include: Joliet, Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Downers Grove, Romeoville, Plainfield, Lockport, New Lenox, Homer Glen, Alsip, Mokena, Frankfort, Lemont, Channahon, Worth, Burr Ridge, Willow Springs and Ingalls Park.
