Shots Fired At Car At Lemont Township Intersection: Sheriff

Two shots were fired at a vehicle at 131st Street and Bell Road on Sunday in Lemont Township, police said.

LEMONT, IL — A person in a vehicle fired gunshots at another vehicle at an intersection in Lemont Township on Sunday, the Cook County Sheriff's Office said.

Police responded to a report of shots fired at 4:50 p.m. Sunday at 131st Street and Bell Road, according to the sheriff's office.

Officers learned that a black Cadillac Escalade with tinted windows and a silver vehicle of an unknown make and model were stopped at the traffic light, police said. The silver vehicle went around the Cadillac to make a right-hand turn, and the occupants of the Cadillac fired two shots at the silver vehicle, according to police.

Two shell casings were found at the scene, but no injuries have been reported, police said.
