Silver Cross Bringing Urgent Care, New Facility To Lemont

The old building at the site will stay open as a new one is built.

LEMONT, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Lemont Village Board approved a special use permit for a preliminary planned unit development for a medical office building, which will include an urgent care center at 15505 E. 127th St.

Community Development Director Jason Berry said this will be a new home in Lemont for Silver Cross.

"The proposal brings a state-of-the-art facility to their property on 127th Street," Berry said.

Silver Cross Director of Marketing and Communications told Patch that in addition to the primary care physicians at the site already, the plans call for an urgent care, X-ray and laboratory services, and the potential for additional imaging in the future.

"We're very excited to have this in our town. It's going to be a great investment," Mayor John Egofske said.

The older building currently at the site will stay open as the new one is built, he added.

According to Board documents, the phased redevelopment will include a 20,608-square-foot medical office building, updated parking, landscaping and site improvements to maintain operations during construction.
