Sixth Grade Girls Volleyball At St. Alphonsus, St. Patrick Wins Championship

LEMONT, IL — The sixth grade girls volleyball team at St. Alphonsus St. Patrick school recently finished a successful season, taking home the championship in their division, the school shared with Patch.

The team, coached by Kate Mulcahy and Remi Cornejo, played in the Tri-County Catholic Conference championship, in the 6A white division, the school said.

The team defeated St. Mary's in Mokena to win the championship. The sixth graders went 11-1 in the regular season, according to the school.

Team members include: Olivia Cornejo, Kenadie Davey, Lauren Edwards, Brenna Garrigan, Lilah Kloeckner, Riley Laga, Maura Mulcahy and Lucy Palumbo.
