Snow, Cooler Temps Headed For Illinois
Most of the area could see some snowflakes on Sunday, and temps will remain in the 40s that day.

This weekend won't feel much like spring with temperatures in the 40s on Sunday and even some snow flakes are possible. The weekend will begin with gusty winds throughout Friday, and a wind advisory has been issued until 8 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Winds of 25 to 35 mph are expected, with gusts up to 45 mph. The NWS said impacts could include difficulty driving and unsecured outdoor objects could be blown around.
Saturday will be the warmer day of the weekend with of 57 degrees. The day should be dry, but temps will drop Saturday night and rain and snow is expected late Saturday into Sunday, according to the NWS. Sunday has a high of 46 degrees, and rain mixed with snow is possible Sunday morning.

Precipitation will change over to all rain later on Sunday, but there is once again a chance of rain and snow on Sunday night into Monday.

- FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear, with a low around 34. Breezy, with a west southwest wind 20 to 25 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph.
- SATURDAY: Increasing clouds, with a high near 53. West southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
- SATURDAY NIGHT: Rain likely after 1 a.m., mixing with snow after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. North northwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
- SUNDAY: Rain, possibly mixed with snow, becoming all rain after 10 a.m. High near 41. Northeast wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
- SUNDAY NIGHT: A chance of rain and snow before 1 a.m., then a slight chance of rain between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow after 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
