Snow Possible, Rain Likely Throughout The Week For IL
The forecast for Halloween isn't looking great, with temps in the 40s and rain/snow expected Thursday night.
ILLINOIS — Rainy, cool weather will be the norm this week. Rain is in the forecast for every day except Friday, according to the National Weather Service. The week will start with warmer temperatures, up to 62 degrees Monday. Rain or drizzle is possible Monday afternoon continuing into Monday night, when there could be a rain/snow mix.
Tuesday will be cooler with a high of 51 degrees, and light rain is expected. Tuesday night is much of the same, and a rain/snow mix could be possible again, the weather service said. Wednesday will be even colder with a high of 46 degrees, and rain and a rain/snow mix is also possible.
The weather service said the possibility for the mix of rain/snow is mainly near I-39, and no accumulations are expected.

Thursday won't be a great day for trick-or-treaters, as the high for the day is 51 and rain is expected throughout the day. The Chicago area could then see a rain/snow mix, followed by snow late Thursday night into early Friday, the weather service said.
Friday will be the only day without rain, and the forecast is calling for a high of 42 with mostly sunny skies.
