SSCM Dramatics Team Presents 'The Lion King Jr.'
SSCM students of all ages will put on a performance of 'The Lion King Jr.' on May 17 and 18.

LEMONT, IL — St. Cyril and Methodius Dramatics team will present two performances of 'Lion King Jr.' on May 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. in the school gym. Beth Beranek helped to put the play together, which includes a cast of SSCM students of all ages.
According to the school the cast includes:
- Rafiki - Anna Fracaro, seventh grade
- Mufasa - Amanda Popper, eighth grade
- Sarabi (Simba's mom) - Kylie Pobiega, eighth grade
- Zazu - Krystyna Sowa, eighth grade
- Scar - Abby Beranek, eighth grade
- Young Simba - Jonah Kulaga, sixth grade
- Young Nala - Ella Brzezniak, seventh
- Sarafina (Nala's mom) - Ella Boyden, seventh grade
- Shenzi - Megan Reno, seventh grade
- Banzi - Emily Anzalone, seventh grade
- Roxi - Maddie Glotzbach, seventh grade
- Hyena Ed - Cael Whitchurch, sixth grade
- Timon - Natalia Ciesla, eighth
- Pumbaa - Jackie Wencl, eighth grade
- Simba - Max Kulaga, seventh grade
- Nala - Gigi Glotzbach, eighth

- Sixth graders: Sierra Bleka, Gia Pontrelli, Sydney Spencer, Alexis Stevens and Carli Welch
Animals of the Pridelands include:
- Fifth graders: Mia Cavallo, Leah Plahm, Hannah Schneider, Kaitlyn Slater, Alina Tomala and Colleen Ulatowski
- Fourth graders: Emma Barrett and Noah Tienda
- Third graders: Luke Glotzbach and Makenzie Kulaga
- Second graders: Joseph Beranek and Patrick Beranek
- First graders: Emily Beranek, Gisa Vagnoni and Mia Kulaga
Beranek thanked teachers Mr. Judd and Ms. Barry, who volunteered their time after school to help with the play. Parents helped with costumes and set design and set and costume designer, Doreen Wencl, coordinated with other parents to create the jungle and animals, Beranek said.
