St. Al, St. Pat Teacher Honored With Best Of Lemont Award

Eileen Bruno, an eighth grade teacher at St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School was awarded the Private School Educator of the Year.

LEMONT, IL — Eileen Bruno, an eighth grade teacher at St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School was awarded the Private School Educator of the Year by the Lemont Chamber of Commerce. The school said the first annual Best of Lemont Awards provided a chance for the community to say thank you to all the hard working individuals and businesses who go that extra mile to make Lemont the town that it is.

Best of Lemont honors were presented in nine categories, including Chamber Volunteer of the Year, Business Leader of the Year , Business of the Year, Firefighter of the Year , Police Officer of the Year, 113A Teacher of the Year, 210 Teacher of the Year, Private School Educator of the Year, and Civic Leader of the Year.

“Thank you to the Chamber for this recognition," Bruno said in a release. "I look at this award as representative of all my colleagues who are dedicated to their passion for teaching. I am blessed to live out my faith at St. Alphonsus / St. Patrick School with parents and children who love to learn
and serve. “

Winners of Best of Lemont Awards were determined by a vote of Lemont residents.
