St. Alphonsus, St. Patrick School Places At Providence High School Academic Bowl

LEMONT, IL — St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School participated in the 2017 Providence High School Academic Bowl on Oct. 14. The contest, which 18 teams competed in, consisted of a written test on a variety of subjects. According to the school, the Celtics placed third in the eighth grade division and second in the seventh grade division.

The school also brought home many individual awards including:

• Ian McGuire, eighth grade - 1st place science
• Max Schuette, seventh grade - 1st place science
• Luke Alphonso, eighth grade - 3rd place social science
• Caleb Bozue, seventh grade - 3rd place math
• Alex Piet, eighth grade - 4th place math

Team members are Ian Mcguire, Alex Piet, Vince Caruso, Julia Phelan, Ryan Egofske, Scarlett O’Hara, Tyler Wilms, Luke Alfonso, Ryan Ondracek, Caleb Bozue, Lia Alphonso, Max Schuette, Alessandra Sarno, Mia Sanchez, Matthew Ondracek, Jeremy DeWilkins, Jackie Kroll and Anne Piet.
