St. Alphonsus, St. Patrick School Wins Academic Bowl

LEMONT, IL — St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School won the Brother Rice Academic Bowl on Oct. 7. According to the school, ten teams participate in the academic bowl, which consists of several rounds of written test on a variety of subjects.

The school said the Celtics were able to make it to the final buzzer round with three other times, before winning the competition with a score of 155 points. They were followed by St. Cyril and Methodius at 55 points, Cardinal Bernardin at 25 points and St. Cajetan at 25 points.

The team members are: Ian Mcguire, Alex Piet, Tyler Wilms, Luke Alfonso and Ryan Ondracek.
