St. Alphonsus, St. Patrick School Wins At State Science Fair

Four projects and five students represented the school at the fair.

LEMONT, IL— St. Alphonsus/St. Patrick School took home four gold certificates at the Illinois Junior Academy of Science Fair held at Southern Illinois University. The school said four projects and five students represented the school at the fair.

The students competed along with other schools in several scientific categories. Drea Sarno, Max Schuette, Madie Skwarek, Lia Alfonso, and Sophia Filipek competed and advanced from the local and regional competitions to make it to the state finals, the school said. All four projects earned a gold award.
