St. Matthew Lutheran Church To Welcome New Pastor

LEMONT, IL — St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Lemont will welcome a new pastor in June.

The church will hold an ordination and installation ceremony for Pastor Josiah Sandcork on June 14 at 4 p.m. at the church, 305 Lemont St.

According to the church, Josiah is a 2026 graduate and pastoral candidate of Concordia Seminary St. Louis, where he received his Master of Divinity. He and his wife, Amanda, were married in 2022.

Josiah is also a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserve and is "particularly passionate about outreach to the unchurched, especially the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, personal devotion in God's Word, teaching, preaching, youth activities and Lutheran education," the church shared.
