St. Patrick's Day Parade Planned In Lemont
Lucile "Lucy" Conway will be crowned queen and Ellie Cuiching will be crowned as the honorary princess.
LEMONT, IL — The annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, in historic downtown Lemont. The village said participants in the parade can begin lining up at 12:30 p.m. in the Safety Village parking area at 55 Stephen Street. The crowning of this year’s Queen, Lucile (Lucy) Conway, will take place prior to the parade at approximately 12:45 p.m.
The parade route is Stephen Street south to Main Street, then west on Main Street to the Lemont VFW Hall, 15780 New Avenue, where there will be food and entertainment until 5 p.m.
The village said Ellie Cuiching will also be crowned as the St. Patrick’s Day Honorary Princess. Cuiching is battling an aggressive brain tumor and has currently had her fourth surgery. Close friends started #EllieStrong and green bracelets have been seen on the wrists of many celebrities and others across the country.
