State Sen. Curran Hosts Winter Coat Drive

Coats can be dropped off at Sen. Curran's district office in Lemont from Feb. 21-28.

LEMONT, IL—During the week of Feb. 21-28, State Senator John Curran is partnering with the Downers Grove Fish Food Pantry for a winter coat drive, according to a release from his office.

“Too many children and adults are cold this winter because they do not have a warm winter coat to help protect them from the elements,” Curran said in a release. “The Downers Grove Fish Pantry said their need is great this year, so I hope we will receive many donations of new or gently-used coats.

Coats can be dropped off at Sen. Curran’s district office in Lemont from Feb. 21-28 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The office is located at 1011 State St., Suite 205, in Lemont.

“That coat or jacket that sits in the back of your closet could make a big difference for someone who is struggling to stay warm this winter,” Curran said. “I hope everyone will take a look at what they can donate to a child or adult in need.”
