Stories of Lemont

On Thursday, August 29th The Lemont Public Library on 50 E. Wend Street, will be hosting a reception from 7 to 8:30 pm. The reception is to honor the stories and art work to commemorate the 150 year anniversary of the village of Lemont.

Created as a tribute for the Village of Lemont’s 150th Anniversary, the limited edition “Zine” is filled with short stories and art to go with each story that are centered on the Village of Lemont. All work is done by local authors and artists. You will be able to meet the authors and artists, hear excerpts from the stories, see the art, hear how it was created and what inspired the contributors. Attendees can get a copy at the event for a $5 donation. It was produced through a partnership between the Village of Lemont, the Lemont Writers Guild and the Lemont Artists Guild.
